Some women prefer Dip Powder, others prefer Gel Polish, but which one is better?  The short answer is that they both have their pros and cons and which one is better depends on each women and what she is looking for and how her nails work with the products. We’ll go into each of the manicure treatments – Gel Polish and Dip Powder – and see how they work and which one might be best for you.

To make it easy, let’s build a pros and cons for each of them:

Removes Easily – soaks off in acetone

Won’t Chip or Lift

Doesn’t soften or damage nail bed

Cons:

Some women are sensitive to the liquids

Learning curve to apply properly

Gel Polish Pros and Cons

So which one is better?  It depends -are your nails affected by Gel Polish and can soften?  If so, Dip Powder is better for you. If you are sensitive to the Dip Powder liquids and they give you a stuffy nose, etc. then Gel Polish is probably better for you (although you can try our sensitive liquids here: https://www.revelnail.com/products/sensitive-dip-powder-liquid-set ).

At Revel Nail we started with Gel Polish being our first product, but are no known as mostly a Dip Powder company so we do see a lot of benefits with Dip Powder – the durability, no need for a light, no chipping or lifting – and so many of our customers have loved the results they get with it.

At the end of the day there is really no wrong choice – its about what works best for you and your body. The most important thing is to be informed about what your options are and to choose what’s best for you.  Hopefully this helps you understand what your choices are and which one might be best for you.
